Most Essential WordPress Plugins
WordPress Plugins allow easy modification, customization, and enhancement to a WordPress blog. Instead of changing the core programming of WordPress, you can add functionality with WordPress Plugins. Since I’m the geek behind Antoaneta Moga’s blog I would like to share with you what seems essential to me:
The Google Analytics for WordPress plugin automatically tracks and segments all outbound links from within posts, comment, author links, links within comments, blogroll links and downloads. It also allows you to track AdSense clicks, add extra search engines, track image search queries and it will even work together with Urchin.
The Google XML Sitemaps plugin will generate a special XML sitemap which will help search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and Ask.com to better index your blog. With such a sitemap, it’s much easier for the crawlers to see the complete structure of your site and retrieve it more efficiently. The plugin supports all kinds of WordPress generated pages as well as custom URLs. Additionally it notifies all major search engines every time you create a post about the new content.
The WordPress-to-Twitter plugin posts a Twitter status update from your WordPress blog using either the Cli.gs or Bit.ly URL shortening services to provide a link back to your post from Twitter.
The Register Plus plugin enhance your Registration Page with: custom logo, password field, invitation codes, captcha validation, email validation, user moderation.
The WordPress FollowMe plugin allows you to add a twitter “Follow me” badge on your wordpress blog.
The reCAPTCHA WordPress plugin uses a CAPTCHA to prevent comment spam and also uses Mail Hide to prevent email spam.
The Contact Form 7 plugin can manage multiple contact forms, plus you can customize the form and the mail contents flexibly with simple markup. The form supports Ajax-powered submitting, CAPTCHA, Akismet spam filtering and so on.
The WordPress-Database-Backup plugin allows you easily to backup your core WordPress database tables. You may also backup other tables in the same database.
The AddToAny plugin help readers share, save, bookmark, and email your posts and pages using any service, such as Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Delicious, and over 100 more social bookmarking and sharing sites. The button comes with AddToAny’s customizable Smart Menu, which places the services visitors use at the top of the menu, based on each visitor’s browsing and usage history.
The Configure SMTP plugin allows you to customize the SMTP mailing system used by default by WordPress to handle outgoing e-mails. It offers you the ability to specify: SMTP host name, SMTP port number, if SMTPAuth (authentication) should be used, SMTP username, SMTP password, if the SMTP connection needs to occur over ssl or tls.

Wedding anniversary
Today I’m celebrating my 4th wedding anniversary, and it seems just like yesterday by looking at the wedding photos since then. I’m grateful to God for who I am and what I have. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human. Have you watched Slumdog Millionaire? I love this movie!

There is a time for everything,
– Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
and a season for every activity under heaven:
a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace. -
Let’s not pretend that things will change if we keep doing the same things. A crisis can be a real blessing to any person, to any nation. For all crises bring progress. Creativity is born from anguish, just like the day is born from the dark night. It’s in crisis that inventive is born, as well as discoveries, and big strategies. Who overcomes crisis, overcomes himself, without getting overcome. Who blames his failure to a crisis neglects his own talent, and is more respectful to problems than to solutions. Incompetence is the true crisis. The greatest inconvenience of people and nations is the laziness with which they attempt to find the solutions to their problems. There’s no challenge without a crisis. Without challenges, life becomes a routine, a slow agony. There’s no merit without crisis. It’s in the crisis where we can show the very best in us. Without a crisis, any wind becomes a tender touch. To speak about a crisis is to promote it. Not to speak about it is to exalt conformism. Let us work hard instead. Let us stop, once and for all, the menacing crisis that represents the tragedy of not being willing to overcome it.
